Jamie Oliver's Apple Crumble/ Crumble Epal Jamie Oliver

This is a basic and simple crumble recipe from Jamie Oliver. Try it and you won't regret. It is so simple anyone could do it, even me. The only thing I would change though is to omit the sugar in the filling as my apples are sweet enough. Other than that, it's a great recipe that won't fail you, I promise :)



Jamie Oliver's Apple Crumble

Ingredients:
For the crumble:
35 g rolled oats
35 g wholemeal flour *I used all-purpose flour
20 g caster sugar
35 g cold margarine or butter

For the filling:
400 g cooking apples, peeled, cored and quartered *I used two large Fuji apples
50 g sugar, to sweeten, depending on your apple *I would omit them next time since my apples were sweet enough
1 tablespoon water

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/gas 5. Peel and core the apples, quarter and cut into chunks.

2. Put the apples into a pan with the sugar and water. Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes and place in a small ovenproof dish. *I put the filling into 4 ramekins

3. Place the flour and oats in a bowl and mix well. Cut the margarine or butter into small cubes and add this to the oats and flour. Mix with your fingertips until it resembles an even crumb texture. Add the sugar and mix through.

4. Cover the fruit with the crumble mixture. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the crumble is golden and the apple hot.

Bahan-bahan:
Untuk crumble:
35 g oat
35 g tepung serat tinggi (wholemeal flour) *Saya guna tepung gandum
20 g gula kaster
35 g marjerin atau mentega sejuk  

Untuk filling:
400g epal *saya guna 2 biji epal Fuji
50 g gula *kalau epal dah manis, tak letak pun xpe
1 sb air

Cara-cara
1. Panaskan oven pada suhu 190°C/375°F/gas 5. Kupas, buang bahagian tengah epal dan potong kiub.

2. Untuk filling: Gaul epal dengan gula dan air, masak atas api kecil selama 5 minit dan isi filling dalam ovenproof dish. *Saya guna 4 ramekin

3. Untuk crumble: Dalam satu bekas, gaul tepung dan oat. Potong kiub mentega dan gaul bersama oat dan tepung hingga teksturnya seperti serbuk roti. Tambah gula dan gaul sebati.  

4. Tabur crumble di atas filling tadi dan bakar selama lebih kurang 20 minit atau sehingga perang keemasan. Hidang crumble panas-panas.
